Recent “Hornet Fair” aims to attract more students to BHS

The recent "Hornet Fair" introduced the Class of 2030 to everything BHS has to offer: twenty-six athletic teams as well as a variety of clubs. The event also was a push by the school to keep as many students in the district past the eighth-grade.

Beyond the Bell: Find Your Crew in BHS’s Growing Club Scene

While studying, taking notes, awkward hallway encounters, and spilling water on yourself at lunchtime are all core parts of a typical school day, so are after-school activities. Or maybe they don’t count because they’re after school – either way, they are one of the most important things in the development of a student's interests and talents. Luckily, BHS has 34 clubs, 5 student government organizations, and several honor societies, so it is safe to say that there is something for everyone.

Fifteen Branford High School students graced the stage recently for three pleasing performances of William Inge’s classic play Picnic. The BHS Dramat staged this year's production of Picnic, which explores the ins and outs of coming-of-age troubles and features a glimpse into the life of heartland teenagers set in rural Kansas.
